Football is a sport played between two teams of eleven players with a ball. It is the arguably the world's most popular sport; especially in the Wirral. Football its self is a game of two teams in which 22 players (11 per team) play against each other to score goals I order too win. Providing each team play under official rules, the game should last 90 minutes in total. There are a few ways in which this sport can be played, which applies to the Wirral. Within Wirral there are areas in which football can be played as 11-a-side or 5-a-side using either a full pitch or an Astroturf (artificial pitch).
